Rules and Details:
- All entrants must be over the age of 14 and if under 18 be accompanied by a parent/guardian or an adult to whom parental responsibility has been given for the duration of the walk
- Proceeds from the walk will be donated to the Fire Fighters Charity and a worthy cause in the parish of Wistanstow
- The event is open to walkers and runners. The entry limit is 150
- Registration will open at 07.15 and close at 08.15
- A simple breakfast is provided (if you'd like to take advantage of our breakfast offer, please come early to avoid a mad scramble at the end!)
- A 1:50 000 colour map of the recommended route will be issued at registration, together with a detailed route description. These two documents will allow entrants to navigate the route
- For your information the route is covered by Explorer maps: 201 Knighton and Presteigne, 216 Welshpool and Montgomery, and 217 The Long Mynd and Wenlock Edge
- Snacks and drinks, including tea and coffee will be provided on route, but we recommend that entrants also carry personal supplies
- Toilets are available at the event centre and 2 main checkpoints
- To be classified as a finisher all entrants must visit all the checkpoints (including self-clips) in the order given by the organisers, by 19.30 on Saturday 13th September 2014
- Retirees will be transported back to the event centre
- Entrants should carry appropriate equipment for the length of their walk and the predicted weather conditions
- A mobile telephone is very useful for emergency use and reporting retirements
- An emergency/retirees contact number will be included on the event tally
- All finishers and retirees must report to the finish checkpoint located inside the event centre
- Entrants must follow the countryside code, please do not drop litter
- This is a 'No Dogs Allowed' event, this is sheep and cattle country
